Our services

In Wiltshire, we have continued to develop and grow since 2010 - we currently support over 45 people with learning disabilities and autism across the county to live independently through various supported living and individual flexible support services.

We support anyone with learning disabilities and/or autism living in Wiltshire. Services can be funded through an agreed package through Wiltshire County Council who manage the budget, or via a Direct Payment, or a self funding/private arrangement. We support children over the age of five who have a diagnosis of ASD.

Here are some stories of people we support in Wiltshire. Their stories show how well they are are succeeding in their own communities, through support that has been developed with them. Our support teams in the county have grown into a very modern, flexible support resource and have also worked very closely and successfully with families in the area.

Supported living

Many of the people we support in Wiltshire have their own tenancies and either share with others or live on their own.

Flexible support

We deliver this in or from the persons home, and can be from just a few hours a week, to a varied package of support which is delivered every day and can also include telephone support and access to a 24-hour advice line.

Many people welcome the opportunity to plan exactly when, where and how their support is required.  We believe in enabling people to set individual goals and structure our support in a way which best meets specific needs.  Within the flexible support package we support individuals with specific health needs and work the appropriate health professionals to ensure the individual’s health needs are met.

Children and young people

In Wiltshire, we support children and young people with learning disabilities and autism, some of whom may have additional support needs such as a physical or mental health need, or ADHD.

Playing with toysWe can provide regular weekly support in the family home and local community, from a few hours per week to 24/7 support, depending on assessed need. We provide short breaks and can also work with families around developing behavioural support strategies, both at home and through attending short courses.

Having the right support means that families can develop the tools they need to be more resilient, enabling the child or young person to stay living at home and thrive within the family unit.

Where we are successful in securing sponsorship or grants, we’re able to run activity holidays for 14-18 year olds in partnership with PGL at their sites in Liddington in Wiltshire and Boreatton in Shropshire. We’ve run successful activity holidays over recent years which have enabled young people to spend time away from the family home, try new activities, increase self-confidence, develop independence and forge new friendships.
