Brandon Trust Goes Wild
Tuesday 15 July 2014

Enjoying Wild PlaceBrandon Trust took advantage of a free day out at Cribbs Causeway’s Wild Place Project on Thursday, 3 July, after the venue kindly offered free entry to people we support.

It was an opportunity to celebrate our 20th anniversary together with a picnic in the venue’s Tower Meadow at lunchtime, and more than 150 enjoyed a little piece of freedom for the day.

Penny Reeves, Head of Fundraising at Brandon Trust, said: “This was a wonderful and heart-warming opportunity for the people we support to have the freedom to access such a fantastic community activity. A big thank you to the Wild Place Project for providing this free experience for our Big Brandon Picnic.”

Among those attending were Eileen Smith and Josie Clarke, pictured right, who are residents at Church Lane in London. They travelled across for the event because they love animals and said they would love to go when it was discussed at their tenants' meeting.

Josie added: “We enjoyed seeing the animals, especially the wolves. It was worth coming.”
