Brandon Trust successfully bring 100 Voices to London
Thursday 18 September 2014
Brandon Trust held its biggest and best 100 Voices yet at the Emirates Stadium in London on Saturday, 6 September.
This year’s special 20th anniversary conference event focussed on hearing first-hand the priorities and challenges for people with learning disabilities and autism in today’s society and one of the main conclusions from the flagship event was people with learning disabilities and autism want more support to meet new people and play an active role in the community.
All input has been recorded and will help inform the charity’s work both in terms of service provision and in influencing government policy and support.
Brandon Trust chief executive Lucy Hurst-Brown added: "It was fantastic to get so many of the people we support in one place to hear direct from them what they are proud of, what they want to see more of and what they would like to change or improve."
