Chipping Sodbury welcomes Brandon Bikers convoy
Thursday 1 October 2015
A group of motorbike enthusiasts caught the eye in Chipping Sodbury last Sunday morning after using a Broad Street coffee shop as the meeting point for their 300-mile round trip ride in aid of Brandon Trust.
The 25 Brandon Bikers gathered for a quick thank you breakfast with members of Brandon’s fundraising team before setting off from the town hall in convoy to the iconic Ace Café in north London, which is famous worldwide as a mecca for bikers.
Organiser and bike fan Joanne Wingate works as a manager at Brandon Trust. She said: "Earlier this year the Brandon Bikers visited the Ace Café and many asked us to do it again, either because they missed it or they loved it so much.
"As always, the intention was to raise funds for Brandon Trust and, with a donation per bike, we managed to raise around £300.
"It was quite a sight in Chipping Sodbury on Sunday morning, so thanks to all who took part."
